Using two anonymous surveys from 15 media members and 10 athletic directors, Bruce Feldman of Sports Illustrated ranked the best athletic directors in the country.
To determine the best athletic director, Feldman asked voters to consider two questions:
What factors determine how effective these folks are at their jobs? And who are the best three ADs in the business?
Feldman then assigned a point system to the results, awarding three points to a first-place vote, two for a second and one for a third place.
OU's Joe Castiglione came out on top of the media's survey with 16 points, one point ahead of Michigan State's Mark Hollis.
