NORMAN — Lawton coach Randy Breeze remembers when everyone else started figuring out just how good Mike Warren is at running the football.
In 2013, a year after being fourth on the depth chart at running back and using Warren as a defensive back, Breeze decided to hold him back in two preseason scrimmages so that he'd surprise some opponents.
The secret didn't stay bottled up for very long.
Lawton Eisenhower pinned Warren's Wolverines inside their own 5 with a punt.
“We're going to run a little inside zone with Mike. He's three yards in the end zone and breaks through that line and he's gone,” Breeze said.
