OSU football: Injury limits quarterback Mason Rudolph to one disastrous series

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State quarterback Mason Rudolph made his 2015 Bedlam debut midway through the second quarter facing a double-digit deficit. A hopeful home crowd roared as he ran across the frozen turf.

One-year removed from his Norman heroics, Rudolph and his bum foot replaced J.W. Walsh. Rudolph's first pass hit receiver David Glidden for no gain. His second throw fell incomplete to Jhajuan Seales.

Rudolph took a third shotgun snap, stepped forward in the pocket to avoid an Eric Striker edge rush, and saw a streaking Marcell Ateman down the near sideline.

But instead of adding yet another magical chapter of a budding storybook career, Rudolph soft-tossed a floater that fell five yards short of Ateman.
