According to an anonymous poll of athletic directors and college football media, Oklahoma's Joe Castiglione is the best athletic director in the country.
Both polls, conducted by Sports Illustrated's Bruce Feldman, had Castiglione at the top. The Sooners' AD received 16 out of a possible 45 points. Here's what an anonymous media member had to say about Castiglione:
"Good outward reputation and has both maintained and built within the department, with a good number of sports finding consistent success. Seems to be a quality fund-raiser as well--especially important with the resources available at their in-state rival school.
