Once again the Big 12 Conference belongs to Oklahoma softball. After sweeping their series against Texas Tech, by a combined score of 22-1, the Sooners had earned a share of the conference crown on Saturday and then won it outright on Sunday.
Oklahoma's series featured two 5-inning run-rule games (8-0 Friday, 10-1 Sunday) with a 4-0 Saturday win sandwiched in the middle. The #7 Sooners have now won twenty consecutive games and have two tilts against Oklahoma State remaining on their schedule.
It's the fifth consecutive conference championship for Oklahoma's softball program. No other school in the conference has won more than two consecutive.
