Oklahoma football: Sooners earn 2017 commitment from four-star OL Tyrese Robinson

NORMAN — Oklahoma picked up its fifth commitment for its recruiting class of 2017 Saturday during its Junior Day event with four-star offensive guard Tyrese Robinson.

Robinson is currently ranked as the 87th-best overall player by Rivals.com in the 2017 recruiting class. He also holds scholarship offers from Baylor, Auburn, Michigan, Ole Miss, Oklahoma State, Texas and UCLA, among others.

His commitment was announced on Twitter by Sooners quarterback Baker Mayfield, then confirmed 10 minutes later on Robinson’s own Twitter account.

The 6-foot-5, 300-pound prospect is from McKinney, Texas and plays at McKinney Boyd High School.
