Juniors Alec Hansen, a pitcher, and Sheldon Neuse, an infielder, have both been named to the Collegiate News/Louisville Slugger 2015 Preseason All-American Second Team.
Hansen, an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention selection in 2014, is a right-handed starter for the Sooners. Last season, he posted a 5-6 record with a 3.95 earned run average and 94 strikeouts in 82 innings. Hansen, who is from Loveland, Col., was selected in the 25th round of the 2013 Major League Draft by the Colorado Rockies. Some draft experts are projecting the OU right-hander to go as high as the first round in the 2016 draft.
