A day after Sports Illustrated's Chris Burke predicted OU running back Joe Mixon would be taken late in the third round of the 2017 NFL draft, MMQB's Albert Breer also projected that Mixon would get drafted.
In his notebook on the depth of the 2017 draft, Breer writes that a team will likely select Mixon because other than the altercation with the parking attendant, he's mostly stayed out of trouble since he punched Amelia Molitor in Pickleman's Cafe in 2014. He also notes that Mixon would likely be a first-round pick if there wasn't a video of the incident.
