Thursday in Dallas during OU-Texas Weekend is my work day. I have lost Wednesday to traveling. Friday is out because of other commitments. Thursday is my day to get stuff done.
Except this year, of course, I had to deal with car issues. The water pump in our Mazda CX-9 went out on the trip to Dallas on Wednesday, causing our motor to blow in Lewisville. I blogged about it yesterday, how we still made it downtown in time for the engineering dinner. But we woke up Thursday with no car.
So Thursday morning, I hiked about six blocks to a downtown Avis/Budget location and rented a Kia Sportage.
