Trotter: Very curious. You have to wonder what happened with Meacham and TCU coach Gary Patterson. Either way, I think it could work out for all parties involved. Kansas now has a proven playcaller, which will allow Kansas coach David Beaty to be more of a CEO. And TCU has a ready-made option in Sonny Cumbie, who is ready to run his own offense, underscored by Texas trying to hire him just last year.
