NORMAN — Buddy Hield agonized over the decision of whether or not to return to Oklahoma for his senior season or enter the NBA Draft.
Even Friday morning, just hours before a scheduled press conference at Lloyd Noble Center, the Big 12 Player of the Year wasn’t sure.
“It’s been real tough,” Hield said in making his announcement to remain at OU. “It came down to this morning after me praying every night, stressing out.”
Clearly, Hield wanted to turn pro, but after talking to those involved in the process and assessing the projections, he determined the best decision was to return for another year.
