Thunder: Why 'Can't play Kanter' isn't entirely true

The travel saga of Enes Kanter momentarily masked an important subplot of the Thunder's offseason.

The postseason wasn't a good look for Kanter if the Thunder was looking to boost his trade value. He struggled mightily against Houston, his typically efficient post game crumbling, which can't happen if he's going to be on the floor playing subpar defense against perimeter-oriented offenses.

That doesn't mean Kanter is a lost cause come playoff time, or that the notion of “Can't Play Kanter” is true.

When the NBA Finals start on Thursday, you won't see many back-to-the basket players like Kanter starring for Golden State or Cleveland.
