Thunder: Thunder finding offense but seeking stops for stretch run

ORLANDO — It was Russell Westbrook who rose up and made the shot that sunk the Dallas Mavericks on Monday.

But it was team defense that kept Oklahoma City afloat.

Westbrook's game-winner with 7.1 seconds to play capped a furious Thunder comeback and a 92-91 win in Dallas. It was the sort of play Westbrook has become known for, particularly this season. But it was another Oklahoma City trademark that made it possible.

“He could still take over and they could still (have scored),” teammate Victor Oladipo said. “I think we did a great job of playing defense down the stretch.
