The Five Greatest Individual Regular Seasons in NBA History

Russell Westbrook's 2016-17 season ranks among the greatest the NBA has ever seen. How does it stack up against some of the other all-time great individual regular seasons?

5. Russell Westbrook, 2016-17: 31.6 points, 10.7 rebounds, 10.4 assists, All-NBA First-Team, All-Star, League leader in Player Efficiency Rating (30.6) and scoring.

The first player since Oscar Robertson in 1961-62 to average a triple-double and did so in nearly 10 fewer minutes per game than the “Big O.” The offensive efficiency numbers won't stack up to some of the all-time greats (nor will the defense), but Westbrook's late-game performance as the focal point of a middling Thunder offense elevates this season.
