Oklahoma City Blue center Dakari Johnson received the first NBA Development League Player of the Month award this season for games played in November.
Johnson, a 7’0”, 255 lb center from Kentucky, and the Thunder’s second-round choice in the 2015 NBA Rookie Draft, averaged 19.7 points, 8.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.1 blocked shots while leading the Blue to a healthy 6-3 record for the month. During this stretch, Johnson scored at least 20 points in six games and recorded four point/rebound double-doubles.
According to an NBA release, Johnson’s month was highlighted by a 20 pt, six rebound, and five block effort in a 107-104 win over the Canton Charge on Nov.
