The citizens of Durant, OK are getting political about Durant's decision to leave OKC.
In a move that was surely inevitable, given the nature of a certain someone's departure back in July (For those of you living under a rock, that certain someone is Kevin Durant), citizens* of the small town of Durant, Oklahoma are petitioning Governor Mary Fallin to change the town name to Westbrook, Oklahoma.
Calling Durant's (the player) actions "heinous," the creator of the petition passionately makes the case that no Oklahoman wants to be represented by "the evil Kevin Durant," and that, instead, would prefer to show support to Westbrook, whose loyalty is something that all Oklahomans can get behind.
