Oklahoma City Thunder: Dion Waiters trade was a steal for Oklahoma City

Think about this the next time you think about Dion Waiters.

To get him from Cleveland, the Thunder traded a draft pick that now has a good chance to be the 30th overall selection next year.

Waiters, remember, was the fourth pick only three years ago.

Talk about value.

Even with a $5.1 million salary in what will be the final year of his rookie contract next season, Waiters turned out to be a steal for OKC. Say what you will about his season, his shot selection or his subpar efficiency. Waiters was unequivocally one of the best low-risk, high reward moves that general manager Sam Presti has ever made.
