Following his first season as head coach of the Buckeyes, Urban Meyer made his wish for more night games well known. He cited the difference in atmospheres between a game under the lights and a noon kickoff, and the obvious impacts they can have on recruiting.
His athletic director firmly backed the sentiment, and the Buckeyes have been playing more night games than ever since. It doesn’t hurt that Meyer’s teams have been more than relevant on the national scene, or that they have proven to be a monster ratings draw.
Today the school announced that Ohio State would have four conference games televised in a primetime slot.
