Ohio State roundup | Men’s hockey team hands loss to No. 6 Michigan

Drew Brevig, Brendon Kearney and Kevin Miller each scored second-period goals, and visiting Ohio State broke open a close game on the way to a 7-4 victory over No. 6 Michigan in a Big Ten men’s ice hockey on Friday night.

The second-period run gave the Buckeyes (11-17-3, 6-8-3-1) a 6-2 lead. After the Wolverines (20-6-5, 10-4-3-2) cut it to 6-4 in the third period, Ohio State’s Freddy Gerard capped the scoring with a goal with 1:12 remaining.

John Wiitala, Dakota Joshua and Josh Healey scored in the first period for Ohio State.
