Last week, we brought you the news that the Virginia Tech Hokies would honor two slain journalists who were killed during a live report for their station. Allison Parker and Adam Ward (a VT graduate) were murdered by a former co-worker during their morning newscast for WDBJ-TV.
As it turns out, the Hokies’ opening game opponent will also be honoring the victims. The Ohio State Buckeyes will be wearing the same helmet decal that has the initials of the victims along with the number 7, which represents the station they worked for:
