Ohio State football | Joey Bosa named Big Ten's top defensive lineman again

Ohio State defensive end Joey Bosa was named the Big Ten defensive lineman of the year of the year for the second straight season on Monday night as the league announced its all-conference defensive teams and awards.

A finalist for the Lombardi Award for the second straight year, the junior did not repeat as the Big Ten defensive player of the year. That award went to Penn State defensive end Carl Nassib.

Bosa is just the second Buckeye to be named the conference defensive lineman of the year in consecutive seasons. The first was Mike Vrabel in 1995 and ’96, who ironically was Bosa’s position coach his freshman season of 2013 before moving to the NFL Houston Texans’ staff.
