Greg Schiano Turned Down Two "Significant" Head Coaching Jobs

After just one year as Ohio State’s defensive coordinator and safeties coach, Greg Schiano was offered two head coaching jobs this offseason – “significant” head coaching jobs, Meyer said Monday.

Schiano chose to turn those jobs down, however, and come back to the Buckeyes for at least one more year. One reason why he turned down overtures: His twin sons will be seniors in high school this year.

“He will be a head coach (again),” Meyer said. “I’m going to keep him as long as I can. He’s one of the best I’ve ever been around.
