Former Ohio State Wide Receiver Turned Findlay Quarterback Verlon Reed Signs with the Detroit Lions

Verlon Reed came to Ohio State as a local three-star athlete in 2010. He showed some flashes in 2011 before being sidelined with a season-ending knee injury. By January 2013, he transferred to Findlay and starred as a dual-threat quarterback. (His Findlay coach, Rob Keys, said last year that Verlon and Urban Meyer "didn't see eye to eye much.")

And it looks like he's not done playing football yet, as the Detroit Lions have picked him up as an undrafted free agent, according to his alma mater:

Congratulations to Verlon Reed who just signed a FA contract with the Detroit Lions!
