Former Ohio State quarterback Troy Smith pleads not guilty to impaired driving charge

Fromer Ohio State quarterback Troy Smith pleaded not guilty in Westerville Mayor's Court this morning to charges of impaired driving and marijuana possession.

His case was continued until April 20, and Smith was granted a stay of his license suspension, which means he can continue to drive for now.

Smith, 31, was pulled over on S. State Street in Westerville early Sunday after an officer noticed his car was missing a front license place and appeared to be weaving.

Police say Smith failed field sobriety tests. He agreed to a Breathalyzer test, which measured his blood-alcohol level at 0.
