The Big Ten heavyweight matchup between Michigan State and the Wisconsin was supposed to be a slugfest that would come down to the wire. Instead, the Badgers took advantage of the Spartans’ mistakes and cruised to an easy victory at East Lansing 30-6.
In the last seven games between the two teams, the average margin of victory was less than five points. Wisconsin hadn’t won at Michigan State since 2002 as well.
Early in the game, it looked like the Badgers and Spartans were about to play another close game that may be decided by a field goal at the end.
