Ohio plays competive game against SEC power

Despite running for a season-low 88 rushing yards as a team against Tennessee (3-0, 0-0 SEC), the Ohio Bobcats (1-2, 0-0 MAC) managed to hang tight with the SEC powerhouse on the road in their 28-19 loss on Saturday.

Redshirt senior quarterback Greg Windham kept the ’Cats in the game by not turning the ball over and throwing for 230 yards on 23 of 46 attempts and one touchdown. The Bobcats’ defense also played just about as well as one could have hoped for, containing Tennessee star running-back Jalen Hurd to a season-low 61 rushing yards and forcing quarterback Josh Dobbs to beat them through the air and not with his legs (203 yards passing for Dobbs with 59 yards on the ground).
