Playing in front of the most enthusiastic crowd at the Convocation Center this season, the Ohio Bobcats suffered a 53-49 defeat Saturday against Eastern Michigan after the Eagles scored seven unanswered points to tie the game following a scuffle.
Emotions erupted when Ohio’s Gavin Block and EMU’s James Thompson hit the floor tussling over a rebound, and other players joined the scrum. At the bottom of the pile, Block was frustrated when an EMU player would not get off his back.
Two players from each team were called for technical fouls but no free throws were shot.
