ESPN’s First Take got Stephen A. Smith in some hot water with Derek Carr, though it seems the Raiders quarterback forgave him.
The ESPN program’s Twitter handle mentioned Carr in a post Tuesday with a video of Smith seemingly criticizing Carr over comments the Raiders quarterback made Monday about fans of the team. Carr slapped down the tweet as “nonsense” Tuesday and we mused that Carr appeared at odds with Smith.
When Smith caught wind of Carr’s qualms Tuesday night, he tweeted to clarify his part in the interaction:
“Hey @DerekCarrQB, that was @FirstTake who @ you.
