In 2016, one of the most underperforming positions for the Oakland Raiders was at tight end.
Statistically, the team’s top two tight ends, Mychal Rivera and Clive Walford, combined for 551 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns on 51 receptions. Just as a comparison, Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs picked up 1,125 yards by himself, which is more than double of what Rivera and Walford had together.
With that being said, tight end is certainly a position that could use a fresh face added to the mix. And while many are high on Gabe Holmes, including Reggie McKenzie, he’s no sure thing going forward.
