SARASOTA, Fla. -- Oakland Raiders defensive end Mario Edwards Jr., who has been on injured reserve since the start of the season with a hip injury he suffered in the preseason opener, has joined the Raiders in Florida.
Edwards was seen in the team’s hotel lobby Thursday morning. While Edwards was eligible to begin practicing last week, he had yet to do so.
“The whole situation with Mario is when he’s cleared, he’ll go,” Raiders coach Jack Del Rio said Wednesday. “Until then, he’s going to do stuff, whether it’s on the side.
