ALAMEDA — David Amerson continues to make plays on the ball as well as any member of the Raiders secondary not named Charles Woodson.
He’s also found himself on the sideline in base defensive packages now that the Raiders are at full health in the defensive backfield.
It’s created one of the more puzzling questions: why is DJ Hayden starting over Amerson?
“It’s just the business,” Amerson said. “I just play the role they assign me. They make the decisions and I just work here. Whatever role I get, whatever week it is, I just do the best of my ability to execute my role.
