Oakland Raiders linebacker Aldon Smith is currently suspended and awaiting potential reinstatement towards the tail end of the 2016 regular season, but more problems potentially await the troubled veteran. A rumored Periscope video of Smith smoking a blunt putting the chances of the accomplished outside linebacker being able to return from his suspension and play for the Raiders in the stretch run in jeopardy.
On Sunday, it was reported that a video had surfaced on an account that appeared to be Smith’s where the linebacker (whose face does not appear in the video) is smoking a blunt. Something that would obviously be a violation of the NFL’s substance abuse policy, which would certainly lengthen the suspension that Smith is currently serving for a repeat violation of that very policy.
