Derek Carr Suffers Broken Fibula, Out Indefinitely

Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr suffered a fractured fibula in the fourth quarter of the their win over the Colts, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network:

Carr will miss the playoffs with the injury. Backup Matt McGloin will start in his absence.

Oakland holds sole possession of the No. 2 seed in the AFC picture with a 12-3 record, and can clinch that spot by winning next Sunday or if they Chiefs lose one of their remaining two games. 

Carr was a leading MVP candidate coming into this game, but he is now likely out of the running. He passed for 228 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions before leaving with the injury, bringing his season totals to 3,933 yards and 28 touchdowns with six interceptions.
