Mario Edwards Jr. shines against former Raider Veldheer

When Mario Edwards Jr. was drafted in the second round by the Oakland Raiders in the 2015 NFL Draft many thought it was a reach by general manager Reggie McKenzie. The Raiders front office boss selecting the former National Champion out of Florida State higher than most experts had predicted the defensive end would go by taking him in the first picks of the second round, taking a big risk on a player who had a winning pedigree and a starring role in FSU’s championship game win over Auburn back in his Junior season.

After struggling in his first preseason game, Edwards has now found himself some confidence in the past two weeks of August.
