Cowboys' McClain suspended four games, apologizes

Ex-Raiders first-round draft pick Rolando McClain was suspended on Thursday for the first four games of the 2015 NFL season after violating the NFL's Substance Abuse Policy.

McClain, 25, released the following statement:

I apologize to my family, the Cowboys organization, my teammates and Cowboys fans for my mistake. I will not break the rules of my profession in the future, and I regret my error. I look forward to returning to the field on week 5, when I hope to help my team beat the Patriots.

The four-year NFL veteran played in 13 games for Dallas last year, making 12 starts and collecting 67 tackles, two interceptions, three passes defended, one forced fumble and one sack.
