The 2017 NFL Draft will start in just a few days, and there will be plenty of trades. That's just the nature of the draft, although those trades are very difficult to predict. One team that could make some noise is the Oakland Raiders, as the front office will be in position to make a move or two. General Manager Reggie McKenzie has been willing to trade in the past.
To help determine the value of each pick and what it would cost to move up or down, we're using the NFL trade value chart. While the trade values won't match up exactly, we tried to get them as close to even as possible. With that in mind, here are three trades the Raiders could make during the NFL Draft.
3. Trade Down In Round 2
49ers Get: 2nd round pick (No. 56 overall)
Seahawks Get: 3rd round pick (No. 66 overall) and 4th round pick (No. 109 overall)
This one isn't as sexy like the two first round deals below, but it's just as possible. If the Raiders miss out on a top target (or have several still left), they could try to move down and net more picks. This is nearly even on the trade value chart and the Raiders should be willing to add an early fourth round selection. A team like the Niners could try to move back into the third if a defensive player they want ends up sliding.

2. Trade Up In Round 1
Eagles Get: No. 24 overall and 2nd round pick (No. 34 overall)
Raiders Get: No. 14 overall pick
Make no mistake, this would be an expensive and aggressive move up in the draft. But, let's say Reuben Foster slides out of the Top 11 picks. He'd fill a major need for the Raiders and would be an instant impact player. The cost works out well on the trade value chart and this allows the Raiders to jump the Colts, who could very well take Foster is he slides. It does cost the Raiders their second rounder, but it might be worth it for a player of Foster's caliber.
1. Trade Down In Round 1
Falcons Get: No. 24 overall
Raiders Get: No. 31 overall and 3rd round pick (No. 95 overall)
If the top linebackers are gone (or there are multiple left), the Raiders could try to move down. The Falcons could be a partner, as their third matches well with the trade value chart. Atlanta has never been shy about moving up and if there's a defensive player (or a player like Forrest Lamp) they want, so don't be surprised if they move up. Getting that extra third would help the Raiders fill out their defense.
