Sources: A's nearing 2-year deal with reliever Soria

The A's are nearing a two-year deal with free-agent reliever Joakim Soria, sources told MLB.com's Jesse Sanchez on Thursday night, with the contract expected to be in the $15 million to $15.5 million range. According to MLB Network insider Ken Rosenthal, there are some details to complete, and Soria must also pass a physical.

Soria opened the 2018 season with the White Sox before being traded to the Brewers in July. He went 3-4 with a 3.12 ERA in 66 appearances. The 34-year-old right-hander has 11 seasons of big league experience, with a 2.88 ERA in 639 career relief appearances.
