Piscotty leads A’s past Angels

ANAHEIM – Stephen Piscotty and Ramon Laureano drove in two runs each, and the Oakland A’s defeated the Los Angeles Angels 7-4 to win the rubber game of their three-game series on Thursday night at Angel Stadium.

Piscotty hit a solo homer in the seventh inning and drove in another run with one of three sacrifice flies by the A’s. Piscotty and Khris Davis had two hits each for Oakland (31-31), which had dropped six of its previous seven games.

A’s veteran right-hander Mike Fiers pitched six innings, allowing three runs and seven hits. Fiers (5-3) struck out five and didn’t walk a batter while improving to 3-0 over his past six starts.
