The Oakland Athletics took to the practice diamonds at Hohokam Stadium and Fitch Park, in Mesa, Ariz. on Tuesday as their spring training continued apace in their preparations for the 2017 Major League Baseball season. Rookies are hoping to make a favorable impression on manager Bob Melvin and his coaching staff and seasoned veterans play themselves into shape to fend off the young players to keep their playing time up.
