Sandy Alderson is returning to where it all began.
Just a couple of days after announcing he is now cancer-free, Alderson got some more good news Tuesday as the A’s announced they’ve hired Alderson as Senior Advisor to Baseball Operations.
“I am thrilled to welcome Sandy as a Senior Advisor to Baseball Operations,” A’s Executive Vice President Billy Beane said. “His mentorship and friendship have been invaluable to me over the course of my career, and I look forward to the expertise and perspective he will add at every level of the organization. David and I couldn’t be more excited to bring him back to Oakland.
