Thanks to a strong, albeit short, start from Sean Manaea, and a flurry of singles, the A’s take two out of three from the Giants in San Francisco, and have won twenty of twenty five going into the All Star break. The team is on an absolute roll, and thanks to a loss to the Seattle Mariners, the A’s are now just three games back of a playoff spot. Should be an exciting second half!
A’s win 6-2. The team has to win either two of the next three games, or simply win the final game of the three game series in Oakland on Friday against these same Giants, in order to procure the first ever Bay Bridge Series Trophy.
