City of Oakland sues Alameda County over its plan to sell Coliseum land to the A's

The fate of the Coliseum land, it seems, will not be decided anytime soon. On Friday, the city of Oakland filed a lawsuit to block Alameda County from selling its 50 percent share of the Oakland Coliseum arena site to the A's for a reported $85 million, according to The Chronicle. The city of Oakland, of course, owns the other 50 percent of the complex.

Alameda County Superior Court Judge Frank Roesch granted a restraining order Tuesday afternoon, giving the city of Oakland at least a brief win over the county and the baseball team, who will be playing in the American League Wild Card game on Wednesday evening.
