The A’s announced on Tuesday that the balance of a May 19 road game against the Tigers will be played on Sept. 6 in Oakland starting at 5:15 p.m. The May 19 game started at Comerica Park in Detroit but was suspended because of rain with the A’s leading 5-3 with no outs in the bottom of the seventh.
The A’s will will bat in the top half of each inning as the visiting team. They’ll switch back to home team for the regularly-scheduled Sept. 6 game at 7:07 p.m. or 30 minutes following the conclusion of the suspended contest.
