Oakland A's pitcher Jesse Hahn may miss next start after blister ends Saturday's performance

Athletics manager Bob Melvin told beat reporters Sunday morning that he is uncertain whether Jesse Hahn will be able to make his next scheduled start on Thursday against the Los Angeles Angels. Hahn exited Saturday's game with a blister on the middle finger of his throwing hand after 65 pitches and completing 5u2153 innings of three-hit scoreless ball.

Jesse Chavez is the most likely candidate to make a spot start in case Hahn can't start on Thursday and that was the primary reason Chavez was allowed to make 57 pitches to complete a 3u2154-inning save to finish Saturday's game.
