Griffin hits Triple-A DL as A's pitching injuries pile up

Programming note: Rockies-A’s coverage starts tonight at 6:30 p.m. on CSN California with A’s Pregame Live.

The A's rotation hit a minor speed bump on Tuesday, as Sonny Gray was scratched due to flu-like symptoms. In other A’s pitching news, right-hander A.J. Griffin is battling a case of biceps tendinitis that’s landed him on the minor league seven-day disabled list.

Griffin has been pitching in Nashville’s rotation but hasn’t taken the mound since June 18. He’s been on a long comeback trail since undergoing Tommy John surgery on his right elbow in April 2014.
