As the season comes to a close, the Fighting Irish coaching staff is putting on the final touches to what looks to be a solid class. The 2016 class currently ranks 17th in the country according to Rivals.com. Notre Dame holds commitments from 17 prospects including Elder (OH) Offensive Tackle Tommy Kraemer who headlines the class.
Several important prospects will be making the trek to South Bend, Indiana this weekend. None more important than Oluwole Betiku. Betiku hails from Gardena, California and plays for Junipero Serra High School. According to the 247Sports Composite, he ranks as the country’s top Weakside Defensive End and a 5-star prospect.
