Amid the fury of posts over the last few weeks voicing angst over now former Notre Dame defensive coordinator, one of the common tunes heard on Notre Dame message boards is that the Irish just don’t have defensive talent. Sorry to disappoint, but that is simply not the case. The Irish may not have Alabama’s level of talent on defensive right now but they have more than enough talent to be fielding above average defenses at minimum.
