PHILADELPHIA (AP) Wesley Berg scored his third goal with 1:57 into overtime, lifting Denver past Notre Dame 11-10 Saturday in the NCAA lacrosse semifinal.
The No. 4 Pioneers (16-2), who have won 12 straight games, will face the Johns Hopkins-Maryland winner in Monday's championship game. It is the first appearance in the final for Denver, which lost to eventual national champion Duke in last year's semifinal.
Notre Dame trailed 10-6 with 4:23 left in regulation, but reeled off four straight goals, the last by Nick Ossello with nine seconds left.
