Wolves are set to sign centre-back Ryan Bennett following his release by Championship rivals Norwich City, reports BBC Radio Norfolk.
The 27-year-old former England Under-21 international made 119 appearances for the Canaries after joining them from Peterborough in 2012.
Bennett also had talks with Sheffield United, but looks set to join a club currently without a first-team manager.
It is understood he will sign a three-year deal at Molineux.
Wolves parted company with manager Paul Lambert on Tuesday and the club said they would announce a new head coach and backroom team "in due course".
