Norwich City are hoping to appoint Borussia Dortmund's reserve team manager Daniel Farke as the club's new head coach by the end of this week.
The Championship side have moved for the German in a bid to take the team in a different direction after big spending failed to achieve an immediate return to the Premier League.
Farke has bossed Dortmund's second side since David Wagner joined Huddersfield in 2015 and this season guided the team to a runners up spot in their division with only three defeats.
Norwich sporting director Stuart Webber, who brought Wagner to Huddersfield, has led the hunt for an imaginative choice to reshape the club with a number of player changes also expected.
